    1 tbls. plain gelatine dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water
    2 cups light cream
    2 eggs separated
    1/4 cup sugar +6 Tablespoons
    salt
    1/2 tsp. rum flavor - more if desired
    Chocolate square

    Recipe



    1 baked 9-in. shell
    Scald cream in double boiler. Beat egg yolks, stir with fork, add sugar, about 1/4 cup and salt. Add eggs to scalded cream slowly. Stir constantly. When mixture begins to thicken (about 5 min.) remove from heat. Add gelatine. Let stand until cool and begins to thicken. Add 2 beaten egg whites with 6 tbls. sugar added. Fold into custard. Add rum flavoring. Chill and pour into pie shell. Shave sweet chocolate on top of pie before serving.
