Sild Boller-(herring balls)

2 C cooked meat, ground.
4 salt herring
2 C mashed potatoes
salt
pepper. Recipe
Fillet the herring and soak in warm water 2 hours. Mince or put through the food grinder.
Combine ingredients, knead, adding a little potato water to soften mixture. season to taste, form into balls and brown in butter.
You can also use 1/2 C bread crumbs soaked in 1/2 c milk in place of the mashed potatoes.
