    Farmers Daughters in a Veil.
    1 1/2 to 2 lbs. of apples, peeled, cubed
    1 C. water
    3 T trecle or golden syrup
    1 1/3 C. of brown bread crumbs or rusks, crushed.
    3 tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon (or to taste)
    Heavy Whipping Cream

    Put the apples and water into a pan and cook down until the apples are soft, almost applesauce. Add trecle to taste. Cool.

    In a skillet – melt the butter and add bread crumbs, and cinnamon. You may need to add more butter – kind of guess at it. Cook the bread crumbs over medium heat until they turn a nice golden brown – but crunchy. cool.

    Whip up whipping cream, sweetened with sugar.

    Layer bread crumbs, whipped cream and apples and continue until glass is full, ending with crumbs. top with more whipped cream.
