    1/4 tsp fennel seeds
    1/2 tsp five-spice powder
    2 T granulated sugar
    2 tsp fine sea salt
    1 egg white

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spread pachment paper on a baking sheet with sides. Grind the fennel seeds, five-spice powder and sugar in a spice grinder. Add salt.
    Whip the egg whites by hand until frothy. Toss the nuts in egg white to coat. Remove with a slotted spoon, draining excess egg white from nuts. Toss nuts in the spices to coat well. Spread on the prepared baking sheet and bake 5-7 minutes for roasted nuts or up to 15 minutes for raw nuts, turning at least once.
