Warm Mixed Nuts

List of Ingredients
5 C canned mixed nuts
1 tsp olive oil
2 shallot thinly sliced into rings to make 1/4 C
1 clove garlic, minced
2 T unsalted butter
1/4 C coarsely chopped rosemary leaves
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 T firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 T kosher salt
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place the nuts in a single layer on 2 rimmed baking sheets. Toast until golden brown and fragrant, 8-12 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through cooking. transfer nuts to a large bowl and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic, fry until golden brown, 3-5 minutes. Transfer the shallots and garlic to a paper towel, Set aside.
Melt the butter and pour over the nuts. Add the rosemary,cayenne, brown sugar and salt. Stir well to combine. Toss in the garlic and shallots. Serve warm.
The nuts can be reheated in a 300 degree oven for 10 minutes. For parties serve in a chafing dish to keep warm.
Once seasoned these nuts taste best if eaten the same day.
