    Pastry for a 2 crust, 9 inch pie.

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 C shortening
    1/4 C boiling water
    1 T milk
    2 C sifted all purpose flour
    1 tsp salt

    Recipe



    Put shortening in a mixing bowl. Add boiling water and milk. whip with fork until all liquid is incorporated and a thick smooth mixture is formed. [I use a whisk, much faster].
    Sift flour and salt into the bowl and stir quickly [with fork] into a dough. Pick up and work until smooth.
