    Make a single crust pie shell, bake it and cool before filling.

    List of Ingredients




    1 C cream
    1 1/2 C milk
    1/2 C sugar
    1 egg
    pinch salt
    2 rounded tablespoons flour (not a measuring spoon)
    1/2 tsp nutmeg

    Recipe



    Beat the egg. Mix together the flour, sugar, and salt and add to the beaten egg. Add to the milk and cream and put in double boiler, cook until thick, stirring all the time.
    Cool the custard and fill the pie shell. Sprinkle nutmeg on top and set on ice until used.
