    Bulger Tamale Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 C bulger
    • 1 1/2 C water
    • 2 T oil
    • 1/4 C chopped onions
    • 2 T chopped bell pepper
    • 3/4 pound ground beef
    • 1 C canned corn
    • 1 (2 1/4 oz) can sliced olives
    • 1 1/2 C canned tomatoes
    • 2 tsp lemon juice
    • 1 tsp seasoned salt
    • 2 tsp chili powder
    • 1 clove garlic, minced


    Instructions


    1. Soak bulger in water for at least 2 hours.

    2. Meanwhile, heat oil, add the quarter cup onion and bell pepper. saute until limp. Add the three quarter pound ground beef and stir to break up as it cooks.

    3. Combine the meat mixture, bulger, corn, small can of olives, one and one half cups of tomato, lemon juice, chili powder and garlic. Mix well.

    4. Turn into a 2 quart covered casserole and bake at 350 degrees.F. for 1 hour.
