Coconut Custard Yam Pie

2 C mashed yams(2 lrg)
3 eggs
1/2 C sugar
1/4 C packed brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp cloves
1 C light cream
1 1/2 C freshly grated coconut, loosely packedRecipe
To prepare yams;
Bake in 350 degree F.oven for 40 minutes, or boil 25 minutes. Cool, peel and mash.
In large bowl, Beat eggs with sugar, salt and spices. Add yams and cream. Mix well. fold in 1 cup of the coconut. Turn into an unbaked 9 inch pastry shell and sprinkle with the half cup coconut. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 50 minutes
