    Date Pecan Pie

    California Date Growers Association, Indio CA

    List of Ingredients

    1 C sugar
    1 T butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp cinnamon
    2 egg yolks
    1 T vinegar
    1/2 tsp allspice
    1/2 C pecans
    2 egg whites, well beaten and folded
    1 C chopped dates

    Recipe

    Mix ingredients as listed. Fold in whites last. Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until well set. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
