    Grilled Portabello Salame Stack

    Serves 2-4.

    List of Ingredients




    4 slices sourdough bread
    12 slices Italian dry salami
    2 lrg Portabello mushrooms, sliced
    2 roma tomatoes, sliced
    8 basil leaves, rolled cigar fashion and thinly sliced
    3 slices provolone cheese
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 T olive oil
    2 T Italian dresssing

    Recipe



    Combine olive oil and garlic, pour mixture over mushrooms and let sit 5 minutes. Grill mushrooms over medium high heat until soft to the touch. Place salame on the grill briefly, just until slices begin to sizzle. Remove mushrooms from grill and divide between 2 slices of bread. Then layer on the salame, basil, tomatoes and finally the cheese. Drizzle each sandwich with about 1 T Italian dressing and top with 2 bread slices and serve. Cut the sandwiches in half for 4 servings.
