    Make a batter with 2 cups of flour, 1 eggs, 1 tsp salt and a pint of half and half. While the flour is swelling, peel and core a pound and a half of apples and cut into pieces. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan, add the apples and 2 tablespoons of sugar. cook gently until the apples are soft, but not mushy. Pour the apples into a large well greased frying pan and pour the batter over the top. Stand it in a warm oven until the pancake batter has set. Turn out and sprinkle with sugar.
