    Boil some sliced carrots and potatoes, equal amount of each in the same saucepan, Starting the carrots about 15 minutes before the potatoes. Drain and mash well together, adding a tablespoon of butter and a small quantity of hot milk and salt and pepper. Beat vigorously until smooth and creamy. Serve as is or drop spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet and brown in the oven.
