    4 C buttermilk
    4 T flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1 T sugar
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 slice lemon
    3/4 C raisins

    Recipe



    Add flour gradually to buttermilk and cook until slightly thickened, stirring continuously. Add raisins, lemon and cinnamon, cook until raisins are soft. Stir often so the soup does not curdle. Add sugar to the egg yolks and beat well, then pour soup over yolks and serve at once. May be topped with chilled cream and chopped almonds.
