    List of Ingredients


    • 4 pounds lutefisk
    • 3 quarts water
    • 3 T salt
    • allspice
    • 4 T butter
    • salt and pepper
    • 2 C rich milk.


    Instructions


    1. Cur the fish in serving pieces and tie in a cheese-cloth. Bring water to a boil. Add salt and lower the fish into the water and cook about 10 minutes, keeping water at a simmer.
    2. Remove to a serving platter. Sprinkle with allspice and serve with a white sauce made with the butter, flour,salt, pepper and rich milk.
