    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

    List of Ingredients




    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 C sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 1/2 C milk scalded
    3/4 C cream, scalded
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 C flaked coconut
    Single pastry crust for 8 inch pie

    Recipe



    Make the pastry and line the pie tin with it. Set aside.
    Combine eggs, sugar and salt, beat until well blended. Gradually blend in scalded milk, cream and vanilla.
    Strain mixture into a bowl. Blend in coconut. Pour into pie shell.
    Bake at 450 degrees F. for 19 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes, or until a knife inserted between center and edge comes comes out clean. cool on rack. Chill before serving.
