    List of Ingredients

    1 cake, compressed yeast
    1 tsp sugar
    1 T milk
    1 cup milk
    5 tablespoons butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    3 eggs, beaten
    4 cup flour

    Recipe

    Dissolve yeast in one tablespoon warm milk with one teaspoon of sugar. Let sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
    Scald milk; add butter, sugar and salt. When lukewarm add to yeast.
    Add beaten eggs, then add two cups flour and beat thoroughly. Add the rest of the flour gradually, stirring constantly.
    Cover and place in ice box over night. Four hours before baking remove from refrigerator.
    Divide dough into four parts; roll each in round about 1/4 inch thick. Brush with melted butter. Cut into segments like a pie, roll each strip up beginning at wide end and roll to point.
    Place on greased baking sheet, cover and let rise 4 hours.
    Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
