    Recipe Introduction

    Kale or Kail is available in several varieties, from curly to purple.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 C chopped scallions
    3 T bacon fat
    2 pounds kale, chopped
    1 C cooked oats
    1/4 C milk
    dash nutmeg


    Saute scallion in fat in a large saucepan until tender. Add kale and three quarters cup water. Cook, covered, until tender, about 12 minutes. Drain. mix with oatmeal, milk and nutmeg. Reheat until just heated through.
