    Swiss Chard Stalks Parmesan

    Recipe Introduction


    An average bunch of swiss chard is 1 pound. 8 ounces stems and ribs to 8 ounces trimmed leaves.

    List of Ingredients




    Stalks of 3 pounds of chard, wash & cut in 2 inch lengths
    3 T butter
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp pepper
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    3 T grated fresh Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Boil chard stalks for 5 minutes, or until tender. Drain well. In an oven proof fry pan, saute in butter until well coated and limp. Seaon with salt and pepper, Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Pass under the broiler until cheese melts and begins to brown. Serves 4.
