    Recipe Introduction

    This Banana cake is quick to make and when topped with a banana icing is doubly delicous.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1-1/2 cups of granualated sugar
    • 2 ripe bananas, crushed
    • 1 cup of Kraft Miracle Whip Salad Dressing (regular)
    • 2 teaspoons (level) of baking soda
    • 1 cup of warm water
    • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon of Watkins Double Strength Vanilla


    1. Place in a large mixing bowl the flour, sugar,bananas, and Miracle Whip. In separate bowl mix together the warm water and baking soda until dissolved. Add to flour mixture then add the Watkins Vanilla. Mix on medium speed of mixer until blended about 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 13x9x2 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely then top with:

      Banana Icing Recipe
      3/4 stick of margarine or butter(softened), 1 ripe banana crushed, 5-6cups of powdered sugar,5-6Tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of Watkins Vanilla. Mix all ingredients until blended adding additional powdered sugar or milk until the desired spreading consistency is reached. Spread over cake.
