    Recipe Introduction


    These are a MUST at every family BBQ


    List of Ingredients


    • For the Marinade:
    • 2 Cups Chicken Broth OR 2 Cups Water& 2 Ckn cubes
    • 6 - 10 cloves garlic minced
    • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
    • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
    • 1/4 Cup Honey or Duck Sauce **(or other sweetener)
    • 1/4 tsp liquid smoke
    • 1/4 tsp garlic salt (or season salt)
    • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning OR Oregano
    • 2 Tbsp Oil
    • ***********************************************************************
    • For Assembly
    • 2 lbs of boneless chicken or boneless pork or a london broil (cubed)
    • 2 - 3 green or red bell peppers
    • 2 - 3 lg Sweet Onions
    • **mushrooms (optional)
    • **pineapple (optional)
    • ** squash or zucchini (optional)
    • **pineapple (optional)
    • Bamboo squewers (SOAKED IN WATER at least 3 hrs prior to use)


    Instructions


    1. Bring chicken broth (or water and ckn cubes) to a boilTake off of heat

    2. Add the rest of the marinade ingredients.

    3. Pour over the cubed meat in a ziploc bag or other sealed container.

    4. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

    5. Assemble speedies----

    6. Alternate meat with vegetable and or fruit on pre soaked skewers.

    7. Place on grill and cook til done turning, to cook on all sides.

    8. Eat right off the stick!!



    Final Comments


    When I make these using chicken, I usually use pineapple. I use the liquid from the pineapple in the marinade as the sweetener and use the chunks of pineapple on the skewers.
