    Bricoles

    This was my Great-grandmothers recipe. This can be made
    ahead of time and heated up.


    List of Ingredients


    • thin sliced top round steaks
    • onion
    • Gulden's mustard
    • bacon
    • flour, salt, pepper


    Instructions


    1. Lay steaks on a flat surface and pound til thin.
    2. Spread on the Gulden's Mustard. Sprinkle with flour,
      salt & pepper.
    3. Arrange some chopped onion to top. Lay sliced bacon
      on top of onion. Roll up and fasten with toothpicks,
    4. Put a little oil in the bottom of a heavy large pot.
      Brown the meat very well.
    5. Add enough water to cover the browned meat. Cover and
      simmer for 1 hr. You may need to add more water during the hour as needed.
    6. Remove meat from broth. Thicken with a mixture of flour & water. Return meat to the gravy.


    Final Comments


    This is excellent served over egg noodles
