    NUTS: Spiced Pecans

    Recipe adapted from (spiced walnuts) The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound pecan halves (about 4 cups) or large walnut halves/pieces
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
    2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
    1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

    Recipe

    In a 3.5 or 4 quart crockpot, combine all the ingredients except the salt. Stir to mix well. Cook, UNCOVERED, on the high heat setting about 2 hours, or until the nuts are toasted. Stir in the salt. Let cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 wks.
