    BREAD MACHINE: Black Forest Pumpernickel

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/8 cups warm water, add up to 2 tbsp more water if necessary
    1 1/2 cups bread flour
    1 cup rye flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
    1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, or vegetable oil
    1/2 cup molasses
    3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1 tablespoon caraway seeds, more or less - optional
    2 1/4 teaspoons yeast

    Recipe

    Select white bread or wheat bread cycle and a light crust - proceed as indicted for your machine. Makes a 1.5 lb loaf

    Lynda Notes: Prepare dough in ABM or KA and bake in regular oven 350° for 33-38 minutes
