QUICK BREAD: Cherry Bread

List of Ingredients
2 1/2 tbsp butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Juice from 6 ounce bottle of maraschino cherries, add milk to make 1 cup of liquid
6 maraschino cherries, chopped finely
Recipe
Combine dry ingredients, cut in the butter which should be at room temperature. Add beaten egg, and milk and cherry juice mixture. Stir just enough to fold this in. Finally add the cherries. Let stand 20 minutes. Put mixture in to loaf pan. Bake at 300º oven for 75 minutes.
