Sausage Bread

Not your average sausage bread!
List of Ingredients
1 cup raisins
1 pound Italian sausage (sweet or hot) casings removed
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup chopped pecans, or walnuts
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup COLD coffeeRecipe
Simmer the raisins in enough water to cover; cook 5 minutes and drain. In a large bowl mix the sausage, sugar and eggs. (use KA or gloved hands) Mix in pecans and raisins. Mix flour, spices and baking powder in separate bowl. Stir the baking soda into the cold coffee and pour into the flour mixture and mix. Blend th flour mixture into the sausage/raisin mixture. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan or 9" tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours. Makes 1 "loaf" or 16 to 20 slices.
Served mostly at Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.
