    1/2 cup soy sauce, low sodium
    1/4 cup white vinegar
    8 cloves garlic (8-10) lightly smashed
    1 bay leaf, whole (1-2) opt
    3 pounds chicken, skinned and cut into serving pvs, breasts cut in half*
    Cooked white rice

    Recipe



    In a large, heavy non-reactive pot or Dutch Oven, combine soy sauce, vinegar, garlic and optional bay leaves. Bring to a boil, add chicken pieces, and simmer, covered, over low heat for about 45-60 mins. Turn pieces over in the sauce frequently so they take on some color from the sauce. Serve hot with the sauce spooned over white rice. Serves 4-6

    Note:
    I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into pieces. Depending on size takes only about 30-35 mins using them.

    Serve with sticky rice.
