BBQ Chicken on A Bun

Recipe Introduction
This is Colorado cooking that pleases children and adults alike. Enjoy at summer picnics or after a day of skiing.
List of Ingredients
One 4 lb whole chicken
1 1/4 cups ketchup
2 cups water
1 onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon chili powder, or paste
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon red wine vinegar
6 Kaiser rollsRecipe
1. Place whole chicken in large kettle, cover with water and heat to boiling and simmer until chicken is cooked, about 1 hour. Remove chicken from pan, cool and shred from bones.
2. In large saucepan, combine ketchup, water, onion, salt, celery seed, chili powder, brown sugar, tabasco sauce, worcestershire sauce and vinegar. Add shredded chicken. Simmer chicken in sauce 1 1/2 hrs. Serve warm on rolls. Serves 6
