    MUFFINS: New England Toll House Muffins

    Recipe Introduction

    If you like Toll House Cookies, you'll love these muffins!

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups flour
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 large egg
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 cup walnuts, chopped (I prefer pecans)
    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 375°. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk egg milk, sour cream, melted butter and vanilla. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add et ingredients, blending lightly. Quickly fold in the nuts & chips. Spoon into greased muffin tins & bake until tester comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Makes 18 regular sized muffins or 9 large ones.
