    This wonderful salad was shared by a friend on the WFD Board........it is a MUST at almost every BBQ!

    List of Ingredients




    ---Dressing---
    3/4 cup salad oil
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/3 cup white vinegar
    2 packages Oriental flavor instant ramen noodles flavored (2.8 oz) or beef

    1 package shredded cabbage (16 oz.) withcarrot or coleslaw mix - about 8 cups
    1 cup slivered almonds, toasted
    2 medium carrots (1 cup) chopped or shredded
    1/2 cup sliced green onions
    1/2 cup sunflower seeds, roasted, shelled

    Recipe



    For dressing: In a medium bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar, vinegar, and the seasoning packets from the ramen noodles. Set aside.

    In an extra large bowl, combine the dry ramen noodles, cabbage, almonds, carrots, green onions, and sunflower seeds. Drizzle dressing over the cabbage mixture. Toss to coat. Makes 8 side-dish servings.

    MY NOTES: I use 1/4 cup each: sunflower seeds and toasted sesame seeds for the 1/2 cup called fro sunflower seeds. Also I like to use rice wine vinegar and Teriyaki flavored ramen noodles.
