    Strawberry Pretzel Salad

    2 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
    3 tablespoons sugar
    3/4 cup light butter, melted
    1 package reduced-fat cream cheese ( 8oz) room temp
    1 cup sugar
    8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
    1 package sugar-free raspberry-flavored gelatin ( 6 oz) strawberry Jello-O
    2 cups boiling water
    1 package frozen strawberries ( 16 oz) broken up

    Preheat oven to 375*.  Mix pretzels, margarine, and sugar together and press into a 9x13 inch baking dish.  Bake 8-9 minutes .  Cool completely.

    Cream 1 cup sugar and cream cheese together well.  Fold the whipped topping into the sugar/ cream cheese mixture and spread over cooled pretzel crust.

    Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water and add frozen strawberries.  Chill until it begins to thicken and pour over the cream cheese layer.  Refrigerate over night.  Cut into squares and serve.
