This dish is our creative recipe of the year. Dirt simple, except finding the ingredients.
This sausage was brought back from New Orleans by a neighbor who raved about it. It is one of the best sausages I have ever had.
List of Ingredients
1 Package Rouses fresh green onion sausage
6 poblano chiles, roasted and peeled
progresso bread crumbs
1 15 oz can Hunts tomato sauce
1 7 oz can El Pato hot tomato sauce
2 heaping TBL Goya Recaito
Big chunk of Manchego cheese, GratedRecipe
Saute the sausage out of the casing until just cooked, stir in recaito and sufficient bread crumbs to absorb all liquid.
Preheat oven to 375. Cut tops off poblanos, take out seeds and stuff with sausage mixture. lay poblanos in a cassero0le dish, pour tomato sauces over and bake until bubbly. Top with chjeese and return to oven until melted. Serve
