    1 1/2 tablespoons Chinese five spice powder
    1 1/2 tablespoons ground cumin
    1 tablespoon paprika
    1 tablespoon salt
    1 tablespoon crushed five peppercorn blend or black pepper
    1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 tablespoon ground cardamom
    1/2 tablespoon ground coriander
    1 tablespoon minced garlic, about 2 large cloves
    1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger
    2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
    5 tablespoons vegetable oil

    In a small bowl, stir spice rub ingredients together until well blended. Makes about `1/3 cup.
