    Recipe Introduction

This recipe has been derived from the old Scottish traditional breakfast where breakfast was eaten while "on the run." Typically, this recipe was made and then was eaten as a snack outdoors.

    List of Ingredients

    • Hard Boiled Eggs
    • 1 package of Jimmy Dean Sausage
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • Corn Meal
    • Any herbs to mix in the cornmeal (oregano, basil, etc)
    • Salt and pepper

    Instructions

    1. Roll out sausage in a circle
    2. Wrap around the shelled, hard boiled egg to form a ball. Be sure the egg is completely covered, but be sure the sausage isnt too thick
    3. Dip sausage/egg ball in the beaten egg (with added salt and pepper) and then roll in the corn meal (mixed with any seasonings you enjoy)
    4. Place ball in a hot skillet with the shortening melted. Turn and fry until completely cooked. Can also be deep fried in a Fry Daddy
