    Chocolate Chip Cookies

    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup plus 2 tbs cake flour
    • 1 8 oz package chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Cream together sugar, shortening, salt, baking powder, vanilla, and egg until light and fluffy
    2. Fold in cake flour.
    3. Add chocolate chips, stirrng just enough to mix evenly
    4. Wrap cookie dough in plastic wrap, forming 2 2 inch rolls of dough. Refrigerate and chill thoroughly
    5. Preheat oven to 350
    6. Cut dough into 1/2 inch slices and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes
