    1/2 cup cornmeal
    1/2 cup sifted flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 cup milk
    1 egg, beaten
    2 tablespoons melted fat or oil
    12 all beef hot dogs
    Fat or oil for deep frying

    Recipe



    Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper in bowl.
    Add milk, egg, and fat; stir until smooth.
    Dip hot dogs into batter; drain over bowl.
    Fry in heated fat 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown, turning once.
    Remove from fat; drain.
