    Asian BBQ Beef Brisket

    Source of Recipe

by Laurel, from Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker: Meals, Appetizers & More! February 2003

    List of Ingredients

3-pound fresh beef brisket (not corned beef)
    3/4 cup barbecue sauce
3/4 cup teriyaki baste and glaze (from 12-ounce bottle)
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
1 to 2 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce (from 7-ounce can), finely chopped
8 individual French breads or crusty rolls

    Recipe

Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef in oil until brown on both sides. Place beef in 3-1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients except breads; pour over beef. Cover and cook on low heat setting 9 to 11 hours or until beef is tender.

Remove beef; cut across grain into thin slices. Skim fat from sauce in slow cooker. Return sliced beef to slow cooker. Cut breads horizontally in half. Fill breads with beef and drizzle with sauce.
