These freeze very well. Plus if you want a more Italian flavor, you can always add fresh grated parmesan cheese and/or some Italian herb blend of spices . . .
List of Ingredients
1 pound hamburger
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 egg Recipe
Mix ingredients; shape into 1½" balls - makes about 20. Cook in a skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 20 minutes. Or bake in ungreased 13x9x2 pan, at 400° until lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes. Serves 4, or you can double/triple the recipe to fill up the crockpot.
