List of Ingredients
1 10# round or rump roast
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. oregano
3 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
SAUCE:
7¾ cup water
1 pkg. Italian dressing mix
3 beef bouillon cubes
2 tsp. basil
8 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pkg. au jus mix
4 tsp. oregano
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350°.
Rub roast with salt & pepper. Mix vinegar, 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp. oregano and garlic; pour over seasoned meat; place onion slices on top.
Cover lightly and cook about 3 hours or until done. Cool before slicing.
Before serving, combine sauce ingredients; bring to boiling. Cool 10 minutes, then add sliced beef. Serve on hoagie buns.
