    1 can (10.5 oz) beef gravy divided
    1½ cups day old bread, cubed
    1/4 cup chopped onion (I add more)
    Salt & Pepper to taste
    2 pounds ground beef
    1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

    Recipe



    In bowl, combine 1/4 cup gravy, bread cubes, onion, egg, salt, and beef. Press into a greased 9x5x3" loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour at 375º.

    Remove from loaf pan; drain on paper towels.

    Place in a greased 13x9" baking pan. Unroll crescent rolls and seal perforations. Cove the tops and sides of loaf with dough; trim excess.

    Bake 10-15 longer or until the pastry is golden brown.

    Serve with remaining gravy.
