    List of Ingredients




    2 cups cake flour
    1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 whole large eggs
    1/2 cup milk
    2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted (I used the premelted)

    Recipe



    1. Combine flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt in bowl; stir to combine. (I sifted mine together onto a Saran cutting sheet.)

    2. In another bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Add sugar and continue beating. Add eggs one at a time, followed by chocolate.

    3. Add half of flour mixture and blend. Stir in milk, then remaining flour.

    Notes: These came out very fluffy and tender. Perfect for breakfast topped with strawberries and bananas or as a base for an ice cream sundae.

    Serves 3.
