    Eggnog Pound Cake

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup butter, softened
    2 cups sugar
    3 cups flour
    4 eggs
    1 cup eggnog
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1-1/2 tsp rum
    1 tsp. grated nutmeg

    Recipe

    Cream together the butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well. Sift dry ingredients; add to the butter mixture alternating with the eggnog. Add rum and mix well.

    Pour into greased bundt or tube pan, and bake 40 minutes at 350, or until cake tests done. Do not overbake.



    Glaze:

    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 tsp rum
    Eggnog to make a glaze consistency

    Pour over cooled cake and top with sliced almonds, if desired.
