Butterscotch Banana Bars

3/4 cup butter -- softened
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 c mashed ripe bananas -- (3 bananas)
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats -- don't use old-fashioned rolled oats
1 package butterscotch chips, divided
Recipe
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda and nutmeg; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Add bananas. Stir in oats and 1 1/4 cups butterscotch chips. Spread batter into greased 13x9 inch pan and smooth the top so it is even, top with remaining chips. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
