Chocolate Dulces

List of Ingredients
2 cups Ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)
4 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
8 tablespoons butter, regular salted type (I used unsalted....all I had)
1 can of sweetened condensed milk (weight, 14 ounces)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract, preferably Mexican vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped, toasted pecans Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper or Silpats.
Place chocolate chips, brown sugar and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir to disperse heat, then microwave again for another 30 seconds. Stir until mixture is melted and smooth.
Add sweetened condensed milk. Add flour and stir until incorporated. Stir in vanilla and toasted pecans.
(At this point, I refrigerated my dough for a couple of hours.)
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake each sheet for 10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 3 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool.
Makes 3-4 dozen cookies
