    Spaghetti Sauce from Cat

    Recipe Introduction

    I made this in the crockpot on Saturday. I actually remembered to write it down for a change! This came out so good! I used my 3½ qt. crockpot for this one and it filled it to the top! Gave some to a friend and froze what we didn't eat. Yum!

    List of Ingredients

    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    1 tsp. minced garlic
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes with puree
    1 (15 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained
    1/2 cup dry red wine
    1 Tbls. brown sugar
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper

    Recipe

    In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion, peppers and garlic. Drain well.

    In crockpot, combine meat mixture and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. (I cooked mine on low for 6 hours covered, then uncovered it and cooked it for 2 more hours to thicken it up a little more!)
