    Italian Sausage Spaghetti

    List of Ingredients

    6 turkey Italian sausage links (about 1-1/2 lbs.), cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces (I used 1 package mild and 1 package hot regular Italian sausage links)

    1 cup finely chopped onions
    3 tablespoons sugar
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 (28 oz.) can Progresso crushed tomatoes, undrained
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
    Hot cooked spaghetti

    Recipe

    In a 3-1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients except spaghetti. Mix well. Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours. Just before serving cook spaghetti to desired doneness; drain. Serve sauce and sausage over spaghetti. Top with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

    Makes 12 servings.

    [Note: 2 pkgs. of sausage links is more like 12...there's plenty of sauce to hold up to the doubled meat)
