Texas Chili

3 lbs chili-ground beef (or can use regular hamburger)
2 small onions, chopped
Recipe
Brown the above and drain well.
Add 3 tablespoons chili powder, 1/8 cup ground cumin, a cup of water, 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 2 cans (reg. size) tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste, and garlic to taste. Transfer all to the crockpot and cook on low all day long. Check to see if there's enough water- also taste it about halfway through to adjust your seaonings. Many people (even Texans) add beans- use canned pintos or chili beans, and add about an hour before serving.
This serves about 8. (Delicious served with rice - a Cajun idea!)
