Have eggs at room temperature if possible. Put into a pan that will fit eggs in one layer. Cover eggs with at least 1" water. Take eggs out. Bring water to rolling boil.
Using a spoon, put eggs back into pan and lower heat so water is lightly simmering. Simmer 3 to 4½ minutes ... 4½ minutes especially if eggs are not room temperature.
