    Mexican Stuffed Shells

    List of Ingredients

    12 large pasta shells, cooked and drained
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 12oz. jar picante sauce (I use mild)
    1/2 cup water
    1 8oz. can tomato sauce
    1 4oz. can chopped green chilies, drained
    1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
    1 2.8oz. can Durkee French Fried Onions

    Recipe

    Brown and drain ground beef. Combine picante sauce, water and tomato sauce. To ground beef add: 1/2 cup of sauce mixture, chilies, 1/2 cup of cheese, and 1/2 can of the onions. Mix well. Pour half of remaining sauce mixture on bottom of 8x12inch baking dish. Stuff shells with meat mixture and arrange in baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over shells. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer.
