List of Ingredients
2 top round or top sirloin steaks (about 8 ounces each)
Salt and pepper to taste
8 cups romaine lettuce, torn (12-ounce bag prepared salad mix)
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup low-fat Caesar salad dressing
2 teaspoons anchovy paste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 cup fat-free croutons
Ground black pepper
Recipe
Preheat a grill pan or broiler to medium-high. Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Grill or broil the steaks to the desired doneness, about 6 minutes on each side for mediumrare. Let the steaks cool for 5-6 minutes and slice each steak into thin slices.
Put the lettuce in a large serving bowl. Combine the lemon juice, Caesar dressing, anchovy paste, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce in a small bowl. Add the dressing mixture, parmesan cheese and croutons to the romaine and toss to combine. Divide the romaine salad among 4 plates, top each salad with slices of steak, sprinkle with ground black pepper and serve.
